RASKAS AND BNAT LOUZ

Bnat Louz & Raskas come together for AZMZ (‘Air du temps’ in Amazigh), a musical and visual production that brings Ahwach and contemporary sound compositions into dialogue. This project brings together the all-female Ahwach troupe Bnat Louz, based in Tafraout, and the Casablanca-based duo Raskas, in an immersive performance at the crossroads of Amazigh heritage and electronic music, accompanied by a visual creation by Kevin Le Dortz.

Driven by the richness of Ahwach—polyphonic singing, Souss rhythms, and collective dance—and by a contemporary sound approach blending electronic textures, post-rock, and experimentation, AZMZ offers a vibrant reinterpretation of this heritage. Amazigh poetry and slam intertwine, in a constant dialogue between memory and creation.

This hybrid work is the result of several years of Tekchbila residencies—supported by AMME—in affirmation of a contemporary vision of traditions, transformed into a powerful, sensitive, and resolutely contemporary stage experience.
