BIOGRAPHY

OUDADEN

Oudaden is an iconic group in Amazigh music. Founded in 1978 in Bensergao, near Agadir, they are a true pillar of the musical heritage of the Souss region. The group made its mark from the very beginning by reinterpreting the repertoire of the Rways, which they modernised while preserving its full poetic richness and popular roots.

With over 37 albums and more than 600 songs (in Tachelhit), Oudaden has established itself as a major player on the Moroccan music scene, drawing huge crowds and uniting audiences across generations. Its success quickly spread beyond national borders, driven by widespread popularity and a deep attachment to Amazigh culture.

Over the decades, the group has performed on numerous international stages and at the world’s biggest world music festivals, cementing its status as an essential ambassador for Amazigh culture. Still going strong, Oudaden continues to keep this heritage alive through new creations that have been well-received.
