BIOGRAPHY

MAÂLEM AMINE DAOUDI

Mohamed Amine Nafiaa, better known by his stage name Amine Daoudi, was born in Marrakech in 1986. From an early age, he was immersed in the richness of the Gnaoua musical tradition. In 1997, he began his training under several renowned Maâlems, including Ahmed Baqbou, Mustapha Baqbou, Mohamed Kouyou, Mahjoub, Abdelkebir and Aziz. Each of these mentors played a key role in shaping his artistic identity. Very quickly, Amine Daoudi stood out for the quality of his voice, both deep and powerful. In 2004, he made his stage debut, and over the years, he multiplied artistic encounters and performances. In 2019, he won the “Festival Jeunes Talents” of Essaouira, a distinction that crowned a journey initiated several years earlier in Marrakech, where he had already been awarded at the city’s own “Festival Jeunes Talents.” Blending tradition and modernity, Amine Daoudi appeals to audiences both in Morocco and internationally. He has performed in Switzerland, France and Spain, contributing to the dissemination of Gnaoua heritage beyond borders.
